After the 921 Earthquake in 1999, Accton Technology Corp. founded Accton Cultural & Educational Foundation in order to aid the reconstruction of the stricken area with love and support.

A number of disastrous typhoons in 2000 and 2001 had taken people’s lives and made others homeless. We felt their pain and immediately formed a first aid team with an aim to help those who were in need. Many of the cases were established right after site inspection. Many other company, one after the other, make donation to help these areas along with us.

After Typhoon Toraj we formed www.e-charity.com.tw as a platform on the Internet to continue our aim of long-term social concern. After the calamitous 331 Earthquake, people from all walks of life made use of our e-charity website and showed their love by making donation. Despite the sorrow caused by the disasters, we, at the same time, felt the glamorous compassion of mankind.

In 2002, we continued our aid to the individual cases and also empowered the support to public interest groups(NPOs). That was why we found E-Chairty with the idea of “Direct Donation-Direct Help”. Donors can directly see the cases in needs of help and offer immediate support by donating through our website.

We firmly believe that the love that people shine on others is a seed which will eventually grow into a big tree with shades and secure more others on the journey of life.
